Break the line 1v1

Game Description

Bodies Needed: Two

Rules: The defense can only touch the ball outside the 3-point line (when they get a touch on the ball, the turn is over). This incentivizes the defensive player to pressure the ball. Once the offensive player drives inside the 3-point line, the defense is only allowed to cut off the offense.

The offensive player uses dribble moves outside the 3-point line to gain an advantage and drive past the defense. Once the offensive player drives, their goal is to “break the line” (getting across the line of the defender to the rim to confirm they’ve gained a big advantage) for a point. If the defense cuts them off and they are unable to break the line (changes of direction moves inside the 3-point line are not allowed), they dribble back out to the 3-point line and continue, but they are not awarded a point.
